Have you ever wondered about the emptiness in your soul? As if you're missing something. "Oh I still haven't fulfilled my dream of buying that car, let me fulfill it and then my life will be complete" - thought a man in his 30's. So often we try to fill the void with materialistic things, it doesn't go away even after finding true love and having kids, those people still have something to accomplish to have contentment. Sit and talk with old people if you don't agree, they'll keep on venting about their regrets despite marrying the love of their life and seeing next generations. It's not even about their career or passion. It's unexplainable.
Studies show that over 47% of people in a average group criteria expressed symptoms associated with EMPTINESS [ref]
Every created device has a purpose and nothing is created in vain, right? What if the purchased device is not functioning as it's supposed to be? Or if the buyer has no clue of what to do with the product, who does he go to? The manufacturer. If it is so obvious for a non-living thing, shouldn't it be more evident for living creatures with a Soul? We, human beings are wired in such a way that our purpose is written in our DNA and nobody can deny it. We automatically are drawn towards it even after having a million distractions and pursuing worthless passions. Or atleast, we get to a point in life where we stargaze and wonder "What on Earth am I here for?"
Steve Jobs, despite his impeccable success and enormous wealth and fame, has stated heart-wrenching statements of his life reflections while on sick bed. He expressed his emptiness in a way nobody expected, and one fascinating thing is he couldn't conclude well, many of his observations and reflections were termed "perhaps" - meaning "it was unexplainable." But there is one astonishing reference he made to - "GOD" [ref]

Often, people unknowingly keep filling their heart with "things" that can't fit the shape of the void in them. Yes, this void has a shape. Even after trying to fill with little joys of life, it still feels empty, why? Because there is one specific entity which is the only One that can fit perfectly and fill the void. You may ask, "well, I'm very religious and I do this-this-and-that and yet I feel like I'm doing enough so I-do-more-and-seek-more and one day I'll attain moksha (salvation). The Bible says, And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. - Romans 11:6 How then is it by our "good deeds" can we fill this void? Does charity help? No, does donating all your wealth and becoming a nomad help? No. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. -Ephesians 2:8-9 Henceforth, it's by "pursuing" the Living God and believing in Him, do we attain the real salvation.
You might still argue, "but I read Bible and pray to Jesus and yet I feel empty, I don't know my purpose and feel so empty, its making me so weary that I no longer want to do it anymore and I feel so much guilt and shame even to renounce and end my life." I feel your pain, trust me.
A lady has recently renovated her house, discarded all of old bad stuff and replaced with new furniture and paint after she met a person to live with. But! But! she hasn't invited the person in. She meets with this person outside of her house in the common areas and talks occasionally but never brought this person into her house and never opened up her life to this person. Do you say her emptiness is gone because she cleaned her house and occasionally meets with this person? You have lots of questions on their relationship status and her foolishness right? Yeah, exactly, that's where all are messing around with Jesus. You can't have the void filled in unless you invite into your inner-self right? Your home is your soul and heart, however you want to call it. Where is God in your life? Outside in a common area? Occasional prayers? Meeting only for any requirements but not inviting into your heart?
"Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David"...
Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near....
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord... -Isaiah 55
God's love is so often misunderstood, we see God as a distant angry person who is after the people killing them for their sins, despite knowing very well that Christ died for "our" sins on the cross of Calvary. He doesn't only demand a holy life, he desires our heart, that we may also love Him back. There's no love without any relationship title attached right? So is the love of God and our love towards Him. The "missing factor" for your void is this - relationship with God.
God's promises are never released into the void. If only, you have faith and pursue Him and invite Him into your heart and live in the covenant relationship, then He shall fill you with everlasting abundance of life's fullness.
For you to be set free from all the oppression that you're facing, you need a real deliverance, and that can only happen with the power of HolySpirit. It is like a gushing waters flushing out all the bad and evil and becoming like a fountain inside of us always flowing and enriching, causing abundance and overflowing to spread the same joy and love to others. This is the promise of God to us:
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
“For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name,
For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” -Isaiah 55
Can I pray for you?
"Precious Heavenly Father, I thank and adore you for giving us an opportunity to connect and seek your presence. For in you and through you we attain Redemption for all. Jesus I thank you for your love and sacrifice, without you we would never be part-takers of divine Salvation. I pray over this blog reader that you touch this person in ways they need and I pray for their salvation assurance and deliverance. I plead you my Master, that this person's void is completely filled with HolySpirit as they repent and surrender their life to you right now. I with the power of HolySpirit declare Peace over the brokenness and Love over the hurts and Deliverance over the darkness in their life, in Jesus Name. I pray to you Father that you set them completely Free. I with the faith in your wounds that you bore on our behalf in Calvary, declare healing over the person reading this. Whoever has joined this prayer with faith, let them receive, Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen."

This is really good. Something people now-a-days, both young and old, need to hear and apply in life. Hits the right spot.
There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ. - Pascal
